Roy Lee "Arf" Percy, age 49 of Canton, and formerly of Alliance, died at 4:46 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005 at Mercy Medical Center.
He was born June 25, 1956 in Alliance, Ohio to Fredrick and Ruth (Bell) Percy and lived in Alliance most of his life.
Roy attended Alliance High School, worked as a truck driver for K&B Trucking in Navarre, Ohio, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves.
Survivors include two daughters, Tabatha Percy of Alliance and Betty Percy of Alliance, fianci�½e, Pamela Richards, step-son, Jason Richards, step-daughter Jaime (William) Page IV; two grandchildren, Destiny and Daniel Downes Jr.; four sisters, Shirley Mangus, Minerva, Gail Welsh of Alliance, Bernice Mansfield of Alliance, and Arlene Summers of Sebring; four brothers, Henry Percy of Atwater, Sonny Percy of Alliance, Irvin Percy of Alliance, and Ronnie Percy of Sebring, special nephew, Gary Mangus, and several other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one granddaughter, Eva McMasters, and one sister, Darlene Reed.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Jeffrey Caldwell of the Maranatha Church of God officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
