Ruby Harrington-Harter

Ruby Louise Harrington-Harter, age 69, of Alliance, died at 9:58 a.m. Thursday, October 9, 2008 at her home. She was born October 29, 1938 in Bridgeport, Ohio to Roy Raymond and Hazel Virginia Bartrug Burkhart. Ruby was a member of Bailey Road Christian Church in Cuyahoga Falls. She enjoyed spending time with her family and raising children which she took in and raised as her own. Survivors include her sons, Harry Lee (Elaine) Greathouse, Dennis W. (Wanda) Burkhart Sr., David R. (Julie) Burkhart and Michael A. (Sue) Burkhart Sr; one daughter, Margaret L. Burkhart, six grandsons, Michael Lee "Pokey" (Gabbie) Burkhart, Joshua W. (Teresa) Burkhart, Michael A. (Jessica) Burkhart Jr., Christopher A. Blankenship, Dennis W. Burkhart Jr. and Shane Michael Lee Burkhart; four granddaughters, Delia R. (Ronnie) Thompson, Samantha D. Garvin, Tonette Koch, and Natasha Ferguson; and 16 great-grandchildren, Caden and Daylen Burkhart, Corey Prendergast, Joshua G., Anthony and William Burkhart, Dylan and Luna Burkhart, Gabriella Burkhart, Cameron L. Sanders Jr., Xzavier, Gaige, and Makhi Burkhart, Katelyn and Zachary Cook and Brandon Walrath; one step-granddaughter, Jeannie M. Flynn; and one step-great grandson, Joseph A. Flynn III. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands, Clarence W. Harrington and Dwight I. Harter. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Hinkle officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Monday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, 75 S. Union Ave., Alliance, Ohio.
