Ruby Lee Miller

Ruby Lee (Smith) Miller, age 80, of Alliance, passed away at 1:06 p.m., Monday, April 4, 2016, at Brookdale Senior Living.
She was born August 28, 1934, in Selma, Alabama, to Lot and Letha (Ramsey) Smith and lived most of her life in Alliance.
Ruby earned her Associates degree as a licensed practical nurse and was employed at Alliance Community Hospital for 27 years.
She was a member of the Second Baptist Church.
She leaves to cherish her sweet memories, husband Murvin Miller Sr.; daughter, Shirley (Floyd) Kirksey; grandchildren, Raneeca Kirksey, Erica (Richard) Jackson, LaTasha Miller, Renee Nicholson, and Tony Kirksey; great-grandchildren, Maurice Kirksey, Jackie Wade Jr., Malik Wade, Ja'meir Wade, Ava Wade, Richard Jackson, Jr., Ty Jackson and Breana Nicholson; siblings: Lottie Dixon, Cleona Jackson, Dolores Carney, Lot Smith Jr., Bea Smith and Donna (Governor) Standifer; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents Lot Smith Sr, and Leatha (Smith) Ramsey, son, Murvin Miller, Jr,; sister Bertha Kirksey; and brothers, Odell Smith and Donald Joseph Smith.
Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call one hour prior to service. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
