Ruby Lee Snyder, age 88, of Alliance died at 8:42 p.m. Sunday, December 21, 2008 at McCrea Manor.
She was born February 13, 1920, in Hoggett, WV to Ervin and Nora (King) Spears and was an Alliance resident for the last 66 years.
Ruby was a member of the First Church of God, Moose Club Auxiliary, Eagles Auxiliary #1174, VFW, and the Roma Club. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening.
Survivors include her son, Ronald H. (Patricia) Snyder of Alliance; daughters, Patricia Ann (Jerry) Ferguson of Ponte Verde, FL and Geraldine Lee Carter of Alliance; six grandchildren, Tom, Jon, Pam, Tracy, Tonya and Rhonda; seven great-grandchildren, Amy, Hailey, Payton, Sydney, Keegan, David and Emily; one sister, Velda Gardner of Columbus; and one great-great-grandchild, Jordan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry Thomas Snyder, whom she married October 29, 1937 and who died July 31, 1978; four brothers and five sisters.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Murphy officiating. Friends may call from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
