Rupert Floyd Parrish

Rupert Floyd Parrish, age 94, of Maximo passed away on June 5, 2021.

He was born on February 24, 1927 in Alliance to Russell C. and Anna Maria (Kaufman) Parrish.

Floyd graduated from Alliance High School. He worked as a Dairy Farmer. Floyd attended Beechwood United Methodist Church and taught Sunday School there. He was a volunteer Fireman for 35 years and a member of the Dairy Service Unit and Farm Bureau.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Carol Ann (Andy) Fisk, Donald Eugene (Debbie) Parrish, Bruce Warren (Susan) Parrish, Dennis Rupert Parrish, Sonya Lee (Dean) Custer and Sue Ellen Cunin (Mike Lewis); sixteen grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eileen (Blanchard) Parrish, whom he married on December 11, 1949 and who passed in 2016; two brothers, Arthur Theodore and Marvin Eugene; and one sister, Virginia Ann Jordan.

A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Friday, June 11th at 12:00 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior.  A visitation will also be held on Thursday, June 10th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Aultman Alliance Hospice, 2461 W. State St, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
