Russell E. Lilley

Russell E. Lilley, age 81, of Alliance, passed away on July 3, 2022.

He was born on March 2, 1941 in Marshall County, WV to Earl and Evalene Lilley.

Russell worked as a core maker at American Steel Foundries. He served honorably in the Vietnam War with the United States Army. Russell was a member of Maranatha Ministries in Alliance. He was an avid deer hunter and a loving father and grandfather.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Shirley (Gowen) Lilley, whom he married August 29, 1967; children, Felecia (Russ) Cameron and Aaron Lilley; two grandchildren, Zack Cameron and Madison Lilley; and a sister, Mary Jane Thomas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, James Lilley, Virgil Lilley, Harry Lilley and Carl Lilley.

A visitation will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Friday, July 8th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Caldwell officiating.
