Russell E. Moreland

Russell Eugene Moreland, age 59, of Canton, passed away at 1:45 p.m., Monday, December 28, 2015, at his home.
He was born August 8, 1956, in Homeworth, Ohio, to Floyd Sr. and Ruth Ann (Mowen) Moreland.
Russell was a member of the Sanctuary Church of God in East Canton, and U. S. Army veteran.
Russell was a professional body shop painter for Suburban Auto and master organ pipe craftsman at A.R. Schopp's.
He liked art, especially carving, was a master carpenter and mechanic, loved music, his beloved dog, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his mother, Ruth Moreland of Minerva; son, Benjamin (Heather) Moreland of Alliance, daughter, Carrie (Andy) Kutscher of Canton; grandchildren, Micah Evans and Emery Evans; and siblings, Ruby Stallsmith, Red Moreland, Janet (Tom) Myers, Gerald Moreland, Jean Moreland, and John Moreland.
Preceding him in death was his father, Floyd Moreland, Sr. in 1992, and his sister, Theresa Springer.
Services will be held at Noon, Saturday, January 2, 2016, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Stewart officiating. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to Noon prior to the service. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
