Ruth Ann Dickerhoof

Ruth Ann Dickerhoof, age 73, of Paris, died at 10:05 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, 2006 at St. Joseph Care Center with her family by her side.
She was born Aug. 27, 1933 in Canton, Ohio to Walter H. and Jessie (Young) Doerschuk and lived in the Alliance area since 1965.
A graduate of Canton South High School and the Aultman School of Nursing, Ruth Ann worked for 29 years as a Registered Nurse for Marlington Local Schools.
She was a member of the Chapel in Marlboro, served as an Advisor for 29 years for the Washington Twp. 4-H Club, and was an Aultman Nursing Association Alumnae.
Survivors include her husband, Howard H. Dickerhoof, whom she married Dec. 4, 1954; three sons, Mark Dickerhoof of Clinton, twins, Brad Dickerhoof of Marlboro, and Bruce Dickerhoof of Lexington; one daughter, Martha Palmer of Minerva; grandchildren, Dana, Loni, Devin and Chad Dickerhoof, Hunter Palmer and Ean, Todd and Mark Dickerhoof; sister Gladys Pickens of Louisville; and three brothers, Carl Doerschuk of North Canton, Lloyd Doerschuk of North Canton, and George Doerschuk of Canton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, Pearl Boydelatour, Jessie Doerschuk, Edna Martin, Mable Doerschuk and Mary Brumbaugh, and two brothers, Ray and Walter Doerschuk.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Cochran officiating. Friends may call 6-8:30 p.m. Friday. Interment will be at Freeburg Cemetery.
