Ruth Anne "Sugar" Blake, age 56 of Atwater, died at 3:20 p.m. at Mercy Medical Center, Wednesday, March 14, 2007.
She was born January 18, 1951 in Ravenna to Chester Grant Franks and Jane Anne (Qualk) Franks and lived all of her life in Alliance.
Ruth was a graduate of Marlington High School and was employed as an Inspector at Alcoa. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her yard.
Survivors include her mother, Jane Anne Courtney of Atwater, son; Christopher C. Blake of Alliance, siblings, William Franks of North Benton, Barbara "Honey" (David) Marzec of Independence, Robert E. (Lorraine) Franks of Alliance, Walter W. (Beth A.) Franks of Homeworth, Chester G. "Boo" (Karen) Franks of Alliance, Sarah "May", (Phil) Biedenbach of Paris and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and step-father, Merle E. Courtney.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2007 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Uncle Bob Qualk officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service. Interment will be at Atwater Cemetery.
