Ruth C. (Ruhl) Davis, age 75, of Alliance, died at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, March 22, 2012, at Canterbury Villa.
She was born July 27, 1936, in Alliance, to Perry Kenneth and Ruth (Clark) Ruhl and was a lifelong Alliance resident.
A graduate of Alliance High School, Ruth was employed at Holiday Designs and was bowling coach/instructor and secretary at the former College Plaza Lanes. She also worked as a secretary at Ruhl Electric for many years.
Ruth was a former member of the Alliance Baptist Temple, lifetime member of the Dante Club, Roma Society, Moose Lodge, Eagles Aerie No. 2174 and the American Legion.
Survivors include her daughter, Michelle (Jim) Stoody; grandchildren Zackery, Timothy and Emily Stoody, Michael (Vanessa) Conner Jr., and Lana (Jeff) Cottrell, all of Alliance, Renee (Josh) Greenawalt of Beloit and Trenton Conner of Alliance; great-grandchildren, Michael, Taylor and Devyn Conner, Dakota, Cheyenne, Hana and Grace Cottrell, all of Alliance; nephew, Kenneth (Traci) Ruhl Jr.; nieces, Patricia, Angel and Sara Ruhl; and sister-in-law, Patricia Ruhl-Rhome, all of Alliance.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry G. Davis Jr.; daughter, Debra Conner; and brother, Kenneth W. Ruhl Sr.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
