Ruth Ann (Gabbel) Hinerman, age 67, of Alliance, passed away at 6:15 a.m., Friday, February 7, 2014, at her home.
She was born May 10, 1946, in Alliance, to Henry and Elsie (Charlton) Gabbel and was a lifelong Alliance resident.
Ruth graduated from Alliance High School in 1965. She was employed with Genie Company for more than 26 years, where she met and made many wonderful friends.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Browns.
Survivors include her loving daughter, Tracee Ferguson (fiancé, Aaron Collazos) of Orlando, Florida; special granddaughter, Katie Lynne Lowe; step-grandchildren, Giana and Ava Collazos; brother, John Gabbel of Newton Falls; sisters, Betty Mikes, Nancy (Bud) Gimbara, Rose (Dave) Emplit and Patty (Frank) Taylor, all of Alliance; brother-in-law, Russell Reeder; stepdaughter, Brandy Hinerman; stepgrandsons, Dylan Green and Donavon Jones; many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, a great-nephew and a great-great nephew.
Ruth wanted to extend a special thanks to her niece, Stacee Emplit-Helman and her lifelong friend, Donna Snyder-Ancona and her son, Michael "Dido" Ancona.
Preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Phyllis "P.J." Hinerman; son, Scott Hinerman, sister, Shirley Reeder and nephew, Eric Taylor.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with the Rev. James K. McCurdy officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
