Ruth E. Hoff, age 88 of Marlboro, died at her home at 8:20 a.m. December 22, 2004.
She was born July 4, 1916 in Marlboro to Frank S. and Gertrude (McAlister) Miller and was a lifelong Marlboro resident.
Mrs. Hoff graduated from the former Marlboro High School in 1934.
She was a member of The Chapel in Marlboro. She was also a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class, Jolly Pilgrims, WCTU, and the Hardscrabble Farm Women's Club. Mrs. Hoff previously taught the Senior High Sunday School Class at First Friends Church for twenty years.
Survivors include her husband Clyde L. Hoff, whom she married April 15, 1936, one daughter Norma Jean (George) Schwinn of Marlboro, one son Robert Hoff of Marlboro, eight grandchildren; Debbie (Mark) Tedesco, Lois (Robert) Griffith, Teresa (Bill) Lins, Scott (Marci) Schwinn, Ron (Denise) Hoff, Pam Hoff, Dave (Anna) Hoff, and Jim (Cathy) Hoff; eighteen great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and three brothers.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Cochran officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be at Marlboro Cemetery
