Ruth Arlene (Fryhoff) Kelbaugh, age 85, of Alliance, died at 3:36 a.m. Thursday, October 7, 2010, at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born December 4, 1924, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Rev. A.J. and Edna (Phillips) Fryhoff and has resided in the vicinity since 1997.
Arlene was a graduate of Newport News High School in Newport News, Virginia, attained a Bachelor of Theology at Malone College (formerly Cleveland Bible College) and a Bachelor of Arts at Spring Arbor College in Michigan.
Arlene is survived by her husband, Rev. Earl M. Kelbaugh of Alliance, whom she married August 30, 1946; two sons, David Earl Kelbaugh of Snyder, New York and James Albert Kelbaugh of Prescot; Arizona; five grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 11, 2010, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Sams officiating. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
