Ruth Lyberger

Ruth (Gibbons) Lyberger, age 85, of Alliance, passed away at 5:50 p.m., Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at Bel Air Care Center.
She was born October 25, 1932, in Damascus, Ohio, to the late Brent and Ethel Mary (O'Toole) Gibbons.
A longtime member of Vine Street United Methodist Church, she was also an Order of St Luke's Region Four member and a longtime volunteer at Alliance Community Hospital.
Ruth is survived by her children, Roger (Kathy) Meir of North Benton, Carol (John) Hampu of Alliance, Nancy Lyberger of Cuyahoga Falls, Susan (Mike) LeBlanc of Munroe Falls and Fred H. (Lori) Lyberger Jr. of Texas; son-in-law, Willard Beach of Alliance; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Fred H. Lyberger Sr. whom she married March 14, 1952 and who passed away May 5, 1986; daughter, Sandra Beach; brothers, Eldon, Wilson, Bruce, Dale, Ralph, Donald, Raymond, Gordon and Louis; and sister, Treva Elder.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday January 20, 2018 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. John Wolfe officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
