Ruth Ann Mohr, age 87, of Alliance, passed away at her home at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012.
She was born December 2, 1924, in Alliance, Ohio, to Lorin and Viola (Keller) Burgett.
A graduate of Alliance High School, Mrs. Mohr received her Master's Degree in Nursing from Pittsburgh University. She worked as an R.N. at Alliance City Schools, Western Penn Hospital and Alliance Visiting Nurses Service during the 1950's.
Ruth enjoyed traveling, especially to Europe.
Survivors include her daughters, Vada Beck and Vickie Blymiller; step-sons, John, Michael, Robert and Greg; step-daughters, Linda Hager and Judith Collins; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; and brothers, Donald and Lawrence Burgett.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John H. Mohr, whom she married September 21, 1958, and who died February 11, 2012; brother, Kenneth; and sisters, Lucille and Esther.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2012, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call two hours prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alliance Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice, 885 S. Sawburg Rd., Alliance, Ohio, 44601.
