Ruth Ann Moreland

Ruth Ann (Mowen) Moreland, age 85, of Minerva, passed away at 9:10 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2016, at Community Care Center.
She was born September 27, 1931 in Alliance to Arthur and Laura (Smith) Mowen.
Ruth was a member of Marlboro Christian Church and an avid seamstress. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning and embroidery. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Ruby Stallsmith of Minerva, Janet (Tom) Myers of Sebring, Floyd Moreland, Jr., Gerald Moreland, Jean Moreland and John Moreland, all of Alliance; 21 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; brother, Harry (Kay) Mowen of Alliance; and her beloved cat, Shadow.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd Moreland, Sr., in 1992; daughter, Theresa Springer; son, Russell Moreland; three sisters; and one brother.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Harnish officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
