Ruth Walborn

Ruth Walborn age 91 of Minerva died at 1:43 p.m. July 19, 2003 at Minerva Eldercare Center.
She retired as Postmaster in Homeworth in 1973, after 32 years of service.
Mrs. Walborn was a member of First Christian Church of Minerva, Great Trails D.A.R. (Daughters of American Revolution), A.A.R.P., Minerva Chapter, Mt. Union College Alumni, Mt. Union College Women's Club, Alliance Community Hospital Auxiliary, National League of Postmasters, National Assn. of Retired Federal Employees, and served as secretary/treasurer for the Carnation Chapter of Retired Federal Employees for many years.
She is survived by two daughters Diana Walborn of Minerva, Mrs. Dale (Donna) Grubb of Alliance, eight grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandhildren.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday July 22, 2003 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Art Guy and Pastor Ralph Norman officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. A DAR Service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
