Sabra Jean "Sam" Heckman, age 75, of Alliance, passed away at 4:22 p.m., Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at her home after a hard battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
She was born December 15, 1940, in Deerfield, Ohio, to Ernest and Hazel (Potts) Hill.
Sabra retired after 28 years of service as the physical plant secretary at Mount Union College.
She is survived by her two sons, Jeffrey P. Heckman of Atlanta, Georgia and Randall S. Heckman of Alliance; daughter, Diana (Mike) Bondoni of Alliance; two grandchildren, Dalton Snyder and Lauren Snyder; sister-in-law, Ruth Hill of Marlboro; brother-in-law, Edward Heckman of Beloit, sister-in-law, Rebecca Pittman of Beloit; and several nieces and nephews.
Sabra was preceded in death by her parents; husband, R. Paul Heckman, whom she married February 5, 1960 and who died October 22, 2005; brother, Howard Hill; and son-in-law, John Snyder.
A private service will be held with Marty CashBurless officiating. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
