Sabra Tolerton

Sabra J. "Tinkie" Tolerton, age 82, of Alliance, passed away at 1:51 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at her home.
She was born July 8, 1927 in Youngstown, Ohio to Egbert and Charlott (Battles) Tinklepaugh.
A 1949 graduate of Mount Union College, Sabra was a member and past treasurer of the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. She also was a member of the Alliance Women's Club, Coteri Club and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. She formerly volunteered for the Neighborhood Center and the Rodman Public Library. She enjoyed attending symphonies and plays.
Survivors include her two sons, Kenyon Tolerton of Colorado and Daniel (Tammy) Tolerton of Bath, Ohio; and six grandchildren, Ashley, Daniel, Sharon, Seth, William and Alexandra.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and a brother, Charles Melvin Tinkelpaugh.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 8, 2010, at Union Avenue United Methodist Church with Pastor Hoyt Wilhelm officiating. Friends may call from 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Interment will be at Lake Park Cemetery in Youngstown, Ohio.
