Sally K Ailes

Sally K. Ailes, age 57, of Alliance, passed away unexpectedly in the Dominican Republic on March 15, 2022.

She was born on May 25, 1964 in Alliance to Dorothy L. and John E. Ailes.

Sally graduated from Alliance High School in 1982. She went on to receive her bachelor’s degree from Ohio State and her Master’s degree from Kent State. Sally worked as a foreign language teacher at Alliance High School for 29 years until her retirement in 2015.

She joined the Alliance City School District’s Board of Education in 2016, currently serving as Vice President. Sally was a lifetime member of the Ohio Foreign Language Association, and member of Union Avenue United Methodist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Margaret (Brian) Gothot and Mary (James) Soltys; her brother, Joel (Lana) Ailes; and many nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, April 29th at 10:30 a.m. at Union Avenue United Methodist Church, 1843 S. Union Ave., Alliance Ohio 44601. Out of town friends and family may view the service for Sally at:  https://www.facebook.com/uaumc

Calling hours will be held from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 28th at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, 75 South Union Ave. Alliance, Ohio 44601.
