Sally Koch Goodwin, age 93, of Alliance, passed away to be with her Lord in her Heavenly home on February 25, 2022.
She was born on February 16, 1929 in Salem, Ohio to Clarence and Jessie Koch.
Sally was a graduate of Columbiana High School and attended Kent State University. She was a homemaker and then employed with Alliance City Schools and the office of Dr. Frank Lukez. Sally attended both First Presbyterian Church and Alliance Friends Church, where she rededicated her life to the Lord. Sally loved being a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. Her hobbies included reading, playing bridge, garden club, and being an avid Cleveland sports fan.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Debbie Greenawalt; sons, Russ (Gina) Goodwin and Gil (Mary Beth) Goodwin; five grandchildren, Matthew (Lisa) Greenawalt, Molly (Charlie) Marlowe, Brian (Alicia) Goodwin, Ben (Lea) Goodwin and Kristen (Austin) Croteau; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Goodwin; son, Steven Goodwin; brother, Fred Koch and special friend, Ted Schrader.
The family wishes to thank Aultman Alliance Hospice and the staff of Belair Assisted Living for their care and compassion and friend, Tammi Taylor, for her dedication.
A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Saturday, March 5th at 1:00 p.m. with a visitation two hours prior. Pastor Rick Sams will officiate. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
