Sally L. Schuller passed away on February 16, 2021 in Plano, Texas with her daughter, Diane by her side. Sally was born to William and Louise Turnbull on February 28, 1933. She graduated from Alliance High School in 1951. Mutual friends introduced Sally to Ed Schuller and the two were married in 1953. They purchased a home in Alliance, where they raised two children, their daughter Diane and son, John. Sally enjoyed sewing and baking and her children and grandchildren were often the beneficiaries of her skills in these areas. Sally was always quick to bring cookies or other baked goods to any event or friend in need. Sally conveyed her love of baking to her daughter, Diane and granddaughter, Laura and a love of eating them to the rest of her family.
Sally worked as a cafeteria worker at Alliance High School for many years. She enjoyed visiting with the young people of Alliance and watching them grow and begin their adult lives. She also enjoyed hearing from their family members about their post-high-school careers and lives. Sally developed close friendships with many other workers at the high school and they continued to meet for lunch regularly throughout the rest of her life. Her husband, Ed, also worked as a hall monitor at the high school for a number of years, so the time there was a joy they shared in common. After Ed's death in 2018, Sally continued to live independently in her home in Alliance, although she enjoyed spending the winter months with her children in Texas. Sally loved the springtime when the snow would make its' exit and the beautiful flowers would come into bloom. However, her favorite season may have been 'sweet corn season'! She anticipated this yearly and would stock up on sweet corn by canning or freezing.
Sally was a long time member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where she helped with luncheons throughout the years and also a member of the Alliance Senior Center and Alliance Elks Auxiliary. Sally was a good friend and listener. She will be welcomed in heaven by the many who preceded her and will be dearly missed by all those who remain behind.
Sally joins her husband, Ed, her parents and her brother, Bill in heaven.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane, her son, John and his wife, Keri; grandchildren, Ryan(Eliana), Kyle(Sarah) and Laura Schuller and great granddaughter Brooklyn.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Scholarship Fund
