Samuel Jackson St. Clair, age 82, of Sebring, passed away at 1:45 p.m., Sunday, November 1, 2015, at Crandall Medical Center.
He was born July 28, 1933, in Whipple, West Virginia, to Samuel Bufford St. Clair and Elizabeth (Iher) St. Clair and has resided in the area since the 1970's.
Mr. Jackson was a 1951 graduate of Collins High School, attended Wilbur Wright College in Chicago, and had been employed at General Motors as a tool and die man.
He was a Free Mason and member of the Deerfield Civic Association, Deerfield Cemetery Association and the Deerfield Historical Society.
Survivors include his wife of more than 61 years, Carol (Phillips) St. Clair, whom he married May 26, 1954; daughters, Karen (Robert Chambers) St. Clair of Boardman; Doris (John) Miller of Warren and Jane Ann (Jeffery) Gorze of Jamestown, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and special friends, Samuel Dorsey and his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; six siblings; and son, Jack Allen St. Clair.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, November 5, 2015, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Chaplain David Parry officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, November 4, 2015. Interment will be at Deerfield Cemetery.
