Sandra Kathryn Shank, age 69, of Canton, formerly of Washington, DC, passed away Christmas Day at her home.
She was born in Alliance, September 30, 1944, to Delbert R. and Evelyn K. (Leforte) Shank.
Sandra graduated from Alliance High School and was employed by (USIA), United States Information Agency, until her retirement.
She was a beloved daughter, sister, and aunt. Sandy was incredibly intelligent, generous and funny, and was deeply loved by her family.
Survivors include her mother; sister, Deborah Shank and her partner, TH Pan of Bethel, Connecticut; and her niece, Heather Shank-Givens and her spouse, Brian Andrews of Haymarket, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her father.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
