Sarah E. Hunt

Sarah E. Hunt, age 93, of Sebring, Ohio, passed away on June 27, 2022 at Crandall Medical Center, with her family by her side.

She was born on August 9, 1928 in Alliance, Ohio to Elmer D. and Mildred (Grimm) Simpson.

Sarah graduated from Alliance High School in 1946. She worked in the office at the Former G.C. Murphy Co. from 1944-1952 and later at Hunts Market from 1953-1954. Sarah was a member of Union Avenue United Methodist Church and was part of the “Apple Dumpling Gang”. She moved to Copeland Oaks in 2011 and enjoyed all the activities and friendships she made there. But what Sarah loved the most was spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Kathy (Dominic) Danesi of Alliance, Gary Hunt of California, Nancy Woolf of Massillon and Sue (Bruce) Bowman of Alliance; grandchildren, Jen (Trent) White, Dominic J. (Kayla) Danesi, Kelly (Nick) Pederzolli, and Eric (Karen) Bowman; great-grandchildren, Sophia White, Dominic M. Danesi, and Max and Ian Pederzolli; and brother, James (Carla) Simpson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Neal D. Hunt whom she married February 24, 1952 and who passed on May 2, 2012; and an infant daughter.

A private family service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Coralee Cox officiating. There will be no calling hours.
