Sarah Jean "Sally" Kilchenman, age 73, of Alliance, died at 12:45 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2011, at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born March 2, 1938, in Alliance, to Robert "Rube" and Helen (Bakee) Greenawalt and was a lifelong Alliance resident.
Sally graduated from Alliance High School and retired from Alliance Community Hospital in 2001 as a medical transcriptionist.
She was a member of the First Immanuel United Church of Christ, the UCT, Saxon Lodge and the Women's Life Insurance Society and served on the Consistory at the church.
Sally is survived by her husband, Dale Kilchenman of Alliance whom she married September 6, 1959; daughters, Margaret Evans of Charlotte, NC and Kathy Kilchenman of Alliance; three grandchildren, Allison, Stephanie, and Elizabeth; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Helen Kotzbacher, Beverly James and Betty Valentine; an infant brother; and brother, Robert Greenawalt.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday July 19, 2011 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 10 - 11 a.m. Tuesday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
