Sarah Richards

Sarah Elizabeth "Betty" Baxter Richards, age 83 of Alliance, died at McCrea Manor Nursing Center at 8:05 p.m. November 7, 2004.
She was born March 12, 1921 in Kensington, Ohio to Harry and Mary (Philpott) Davidson.
She graduated from Minerva High School, and besides being a homemaker, Betty did all the bookkeeping for Baxter Homes Inc. for her first husband's business.
Betty was a member of First United Presbyterian Church, and an elder at the church. She was also a member of the Alliance Woman's Club.
Survivors include her daughter Carol (Gary) Hubbard, two granddaughters Ann and Carrie Hubbard, all of Canfield, Ohio, and her husband Roland Richards, whom she married Nov. 2, 2002.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Stewart E. Baxter, whom she married June 4, 1947, and who died Nov. 24, 1991, and one brother Lee Davidson.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Presbyterian Church with Pastor Durlan Dumm officiating. Friends may call one and one-half hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
