Seward N. Reisch

October 28, 1928 — December 17, 2006

Seward N. Reisch, age 78 of Alliance, died at 8:55 a.m. December 17, 2006 at Crandall Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 28, 1928 in Lisbon, Ohio to Norman O. and Lucy C. (Schrader) Reisch. Mr. Reisch graduated from Alliance High School and TriState College in Angola, Indiana.
He worked for B&W in Barberton, and Alliance Research Center in North Canton as an Engineer and Proposal Manager for 31 years, retiring in 1990.
Seward was a member of Christ United Methodist Church for more than 50 years; where he was an usher, and member and past-president of the Crusaders Sunday school class. He formerly was a trustee and member of the Pastor-Parish Relations Committee, and Counselor of Jr. High U.M.Y.F.
Mr. Reisch bowled with the Swinging Sixties Senior Citizens and delivered Meals of Wheels. He also served with the U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Hunter) Reisch, whom he married Nov. 4, 1956; two sons, James T. Reisch of Wilmington, Delaware, and Steven A. Reisch of Hartville, Ohio; and three sisters, Carol A. Wallace of Alliance; Marilyn Hazen of Alliance; and Barbara E. Bodo of Alliance.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Norman O. Reisch Jr.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Hugh Hookway officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
