Shannon Swonger, age 15, of Alliance, passed away at her home at 7:05 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2011.
Shannon was born April 9, 1996 in Canton, Ohio to Robert and Angi (Braz) Swonger.
A freshman at Alliance High School, Shannon enjoyed deer hunting, playing the violin, singing in the choir, performing in plays, playing sports and spending time with her many friends.
Shannon will be dearly missed by her family, including her parents; one brother, Kristopher Myers of Canton; three sisters, Alicia Myers, Marissa Swonger, and Emilly Swonger, all of the home; paternal grandfather, Bob (Carol) Swonger of Louisville; paternal grandmother, Patricia (Fred) Johnson of Vero Beach, FL; maternal grandmother, Donna Sparren; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2011 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Jim McCurdy officiating. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday. Shannon will be laid to rest at Alliance City Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
