Sharlet Faye Byrne

Sharlet Faye Byrne, age 89, of Florida, formerly of Alliance, passed away at 10:23 p.m., Thursday, February 25, 2016, at her home.
She was born November 11, 1926, in Alliance, Ohio, to Irvin John and Estella May (Slusser) Bandy.
Sharlet was a member of the Bethel United Church of Christ and had retired from PCC Airfoils in Minerva. She loved to sew for her family and enjoyed playing cards, square dancing, gardening, singing and yodeling.
Survivors include her children, Melody (Howard) Barnes of Ohio and Daniel Byrne and Dixie (Stefan) Gernaga, both of Florida; grandchildren, Matthew (Stacey) Byrne of Virginia, Ethan (Ashley) Byrne of Ohio, Jason Barnes and Brandon Barnes, both of Arizona and Sebastian Gernaga of Florida; great-grandchildren, Kieran Byrne, Kaden Byrne, Kenyon Byrne, Koen Byrne and Kylie Byrne, all of Virginia, and Harper Byrne and Hadleigh Byrne, both of Ohio.
Sharlet was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donn Byrne, whom she married October 10, 1944 and who died in 1996; son, Benjamin Byrne; brothers, William, Thomas and Johnny Bandy; sisters, Evelyn, Helen, Dortha, Burdella and Laura Bandy; daughter-in-law, Shelly Byrne; grandson, Stephen Barnes and great-granddaughter, Hannah Byrne.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at
Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Haan Phelps of Bethel United Church of Christ officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
