Sharon “Sherrie” Taylor Howells-Goddard passed at home with her husband Dick and daughter Stacy by her side on Friday August 23, 2019 after battling Pancreatic Cancer.
Sherrie was born June 21, 1948 in Millersburg, Ohio to Ralph and Dorothy Taylor.
She attended Alliance High School, graduating in 1966. She lived most of her life in Alliance and Sebring.
Sherrie worked in retail at Penny’s and Carlisle’s. She also worked in Lakeview Terrace and Copeland Oaks. Her last job was at J.P.’s Snack Shop in Sebring which she loved.
Sherrie is survived by her soul mate, Dick Goddard, whom she married September 5, 1998; her daughter and son-in-law, Dave and Stacy Pitner of Sebring; her adoptive daughter and husband, Angela and Phil Neely of Sebring, and her nephew, David Isabella of Warren, Ohio.
She is also survived by her fur babies, Charlie, and Rosie.
She enjoyed her trips with her daughter and husband, and trips to Florida. She loved all of her friends and learned through her illness how many friends and family she had.
Sherrie was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Gary.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Concern Food Pantry, 125 W. Ohio Ave. Sebring, OH 44672, which Stacy is the manager of; or Aultman/Alliance Hospice, 2461 W. State St. Suite E, Alliance, OH 44601.
Sherrie asked that everyone do a good deed for someone, because that was how she lived her life.
Cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 1-3 p.m. on Thursday.
