Sheila M May

Sheila M. May, age 71, of Alliance passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on August 22, 2021.

She was born on May 25, 1950 in Lisbon, OH to Hughie P. Evans Sr. and Helen R. (Donelly) Evans.

Sheila was a 1968 graduate of Marlington High School and a prior member of Elkton Methodist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, George W. May Jr., whom she married on August 25, 1978; her daughters, Monica (Steve) Krabill and Christina Hopper; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Wanda Kay Chapman, Betty Aleich, Pamela Unkefer and Helen Finley; and one brother, Bruce Evans.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jason West; step-daughter, Elizabeth Steed; sister, Diana Dieringer; and brother, Hughie Evans Jr.

A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on August 28, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior.
