Sheila K. Moore, age 67, of Alliance died at 1:46 a.m. Friday, November 7, 2008, at Alliance Community Hospital.
Born January 5, 1941, in Morgantown, West Virginia to Ralph H. Sr. and Mary Elizabeth (Clingan) Pugh, she had lived in Alliance since 1967.
Sheila graduated from University High School in Morgantown and attended Morgantown Business College.
A member of the Alliance Evangelical Friends Church, she also was a member of the Crusaders Sunday School Class, 60 Plus Club, former youth leader at the church, past president of the Freedom and Liberty School PTA, Vice President of the PTA Council for area schools, delivered Meals on Wheels, Multiple Sclerosis Support Group and AARP.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmie K. Moore whom she married May 31, 1959; her children, David K. (Jackie) Moore of Grove City, Ohio; Debra K. (Steve) Wiandt of Ravenna; two grandchildren, Stephen K. (Rachel) Moore and Andrea Moore; one brother, Ralph H. Jr. (Barbara) Pugh of Morgantown, West Virginia; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2008, at Alliance Friends Church, 1307 W. State St. Alliance, Ohio with Pastor Rick Sams and Associate Pastor Gilbert Goodwin officiating. Friends may call Monday from 6-9 p.m. at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, 75 S. Union Ave. Alliance, Ohio and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alliance Friends Church, 1307 W. State St. Alliance, Ohio 44601 or to the Alliance Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice, 885 S. Sawburg Road, Suite 106, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
