Shelly D. Byrne, age 63, of Homeworth, passed away at 11:50 p.m. November 8, 2014 at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born September 17, 1951 in Canton, Ohio to Glenwood and Bette (Widener) Sutton.
A graduate of Minerva High School, Shelly was a very active and involved member of Freeburg Church of the Brethren.
She enjoyed crafting, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. She also loved spending time with her granddaughters.
Survivors include her son, Ethan (Ashley) Byrne of Salem; granddaughters, Harper and Hadleigh; and brother, Jerry (Sandi) Sutton of Homeworth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Hannah, husband, Benjamin L. Byrne, whom she married Feb. 12, 1970, and who died August 3, 2012, and sister, Sharon Cessna.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, November 14, 2014, at Freeburg Church of the Brethren with Pastor Mike Zellers officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the church. Interment will be at Freeburg Cemetery.
