Shirley Skoczinski

September 27, 1930 — November 3, 2009

Shirley Mae Skoczinski, age 79, of Alliance, passed away at 11:04 a.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center.
She was born September 27, 1930 in Alliance to William Dale and Helen (Boyle) Kennedy.
A graduate of Alliance High School, Shirley worked as a retail clerk for J.C. Penney and the Hallmark Hello Shop.
She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and of the ASPCA, (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). She enjoyed crocheting and collecting Oriental art. She loved her family and pets very much.
She is survived by her husband, John Skoczinski, whom she married July 22, 1950; daughters, JoAnn (Gary) Francis of Tallmadge, Diane Frances Skoczinski, and Johna Michelle (Jerry D.) Wilson Jr. both of Alliance; two granddaughters, Samantha K. Lewis and Karin Ann Lewis; step-granddaughter, Maggie Louise Wilson; brother, William Vernon Kennedy of Salina, Kansas; and two nieces and one nephew.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; grandmother, Annie M. Boyle; a sister, Dorothy Moore; and one niece.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Kingdom Hall, 701 W. Main St. Alliance, Ohio 44601 with Louis Whitaker officiating.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the ASPCA, 424 E. 92nd St., New York, NY 10128-6804.
