Shirley Deborah Sherrard Waggoner, age 86 of New Bern, North Carolina died at 2:40 a.m. March 8, 2005 in New Bern.
She was born Nov. 28, 1918 in Bowling Green, Florida to Herbert L. and Deborah Mary (Willits) Sherrard.
Mrs. Waggoner worked as a teacher and was very involved in area schools for 33 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Lois Galbreth of Merritt Island, Florida, and Jean W. Hook of Rockledge, Florida, one son, Wayne Waggoner of Michigan, and seven grandchildren.
Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at Alliance Evangelical Friends Church with Pastor Rick Sams officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to National Alzheimer's Foundation, or Friends Missions.
