Silven Wise, Jr

Silven Wise, Jr., age 89, of Sebring, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 11, 2016.
He was born September 11, 1927 in Alliance, Ohio to Silven, Sr. and Metta (Miner) Wise. Silven was a 1945 graduate of Alliance High School.
Silven retired from Lordstown in 1989 after 24 years in the electrical automotive repair department. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Alliance where he served as an usher and assistant superintendent. Silven was also a member of the United Auto Workers #1112 at Lordstown.
He was a WWII Veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include two sons, Michael (Janet) of Homeworth and Marc (Paula) of Hilliard; sister, Joan Wise and brother, Bruce Wise; three grandchildren, Nathan (Maureen) Wise, Adam (Sara) Wise and Stephanie Wise and great-grandchild, Jude.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Carolyn.
Services will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Rhodes officiating. Friends may call from 2-3 p.m. prior to the service.
Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
