Solen Junior Dadisman, age 93, of Louisville, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family Tuesday afternoon, February 16, 2010.
Born November 24, 1916 in Phillipi, West Virginia in Barbour County to Solen and Sarah (Tyre) Dadisman, Solen was employed at Timken Roller Bearing as a melt-shop steelworker for twenty six years until his retirement in 1978.
He was a member of the Silver Park Church of Christ in Alliance. He enjoyed carpentry work, gardening, talking about the Bible and spending the summers at the family cabin on
"The Old Sweetwater", in Boulder, West Virginia.
Solen leaves behind his six children, Donna (Emory) Covington and Sonny (Patricia) Dadisman, both of Ohio, Jerrold (Rhonda) Dadisman of Florida, Paul (Jean) Dadisman and Tammy Dadisman of Ohio, and David Dadisman II of Texas. He also leaves behind his 23 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandson, all of whom he was proud of.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his loving wife of 69 years, Naomi Juanita (Butcher) Dadisman, whom he married in 1939 and who died in 2008: stillborn daughter, Nedra Sue; nine brothers; and two sisters.
