Steven M. "Moby" Lab

Steven M. "Moby" Lab, age 59, of Alliance, passed away at 6:42 a.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Community Care Center in Alliance.
He was born January 15, 1959, in Alliance, to Maurice "Mo" and Helen (Erwin) Lab.
An Alliance High School graduate, Moby owned Mobill Wheel Alignment in Alliance that his dad, "Mo" started with his friend, Bill Dosa, whom he referred to as "Uncle Bill". He greatly enjoyed working in the family business.
Moby was a member of the B.P.O. Elks Lodge No 467, William Penn Club, Dante Club and the Christopher Columbus Club.
He was an avid sports fan, primarily watching the Pittsburg Steelers, Ohio State University, the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Cavaliers. He also enjoyed playing baseball, softball, bowling and playing poker.
Survivors include his companion, Darla Black of Alliance; step-daughter, Hannah Hillman of the home; brothers, Scott "Dennis" Lab of Alliance and Gary (Robin) Lab of Texas; sister, Darla (Frankie) Franko of Indiana and Tracy (Greg) Schall of Florida; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and best friends, Mark Johnson, Danny Eberly, Brenda Jarvis, Sarah Wachunas, Jamie Ciecerko and his dog, Lily.
Moby was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Rick Lab.
Services will be held at 5 p.m., Friday, May 18, 2018, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Freddie Rodriguez officiating. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m., prior to the service. An Alliance Elks Service will be held at 3 p.m. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum at Highland Memorial Park.
