Susie Bunescu

Susie V. Bunescu age 94 of Damascus, and formerly of Alliance, died at Pleasant Valley Nursing Home at 9:42 p.m. Aug. 12, 2004.
She was born April 11, 1910 in Alliance, Ohio to Joseph and Susie (Donut) Varady, and lived in Alliance most of her life, except from 1953-1974 when she lived in Chicago.
Mrs. Bunescu attended Alliance High School, and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Beloit.
Survivors include one sister Anna Mitchell of Brewster, two nieces Margaret Reeder and Bonnie McPherson, and two nephews William Paul and Lee Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Cornelius A. Bunescu, who died Nov. 27, 1985, and three sisters; Kathryn Paul, Mary Truman and Julia McPherson.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Fellowship Baptist Church with Pastor James White officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
