Sylvia Mossie Croley

Sylvia Mossie (Syme) Croley, age 95, of Alliance, passed away at Community Care Center on June 29, 2021.

Sylvia was born January 20, 1926 to Jesse Lester and Lora (Detherage) Syme and has resided in Alliance since 1949. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Alliance. Sylvia lived her life for God and her family.

Survivors include her son, Dwight (Jan) Croley; her four daughters, Rae Ann (Harry) Thomas, Dianna (Greg) Greenamyer, Melissa (Gary) Simone, Maxine (Robert) McIlvain; thirteen grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Erma June Hamblen Meredith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Edward Croley, whom she married May 31, 1941 and who died in September 1979; two sons Darrel Jay and Larry E. Croley; her daughter-in-law, Sandra (Miller) Croley; daughter Karen Brandonisio; two grandsons, Greg E. Croley and Adam L. Croley; five brothers; and three sisters.

A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian funeral home on Thursday, July 8th at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior. Jody Hill will officiate.

Interment will be held at Highland Memorial Park.
