Taylor Ann Degenhard, age 5 of Louisville, passed away Saturday evening at 4:50 p.m. October 18, 2008 at Akron Children's Hospital.
She was born June 30, 2003 in Alliance, Ohio to Jarrod and Tricia (Folk) Degenhard.
Taylor was a very strong willed, very caring and beautiful little girl. During her three and a half year battle with cancer she touched many hearts.
She is survived by her parents of Louisville; two brothers, Rocco and Trent Degenhard, both of the home; maternal grandmother, JoAnn Folk of Louisville; paternal grandmother, Judy Degenhard of N.Canton; two uncles, Billy (Rebecca) Folk of Louisville; Jason (Rachel) Degenhard of Fort Bragg, North Carolina; five cousins, Lexi and Michael Degenhard; Ethan Frost; and Julia and Carmin.
Taylor is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, William E. Folk; and her paternal grandfather, Jack Degenhard.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 23, 2008 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Fr. Thomas Bishop of St. Anthony's Catholic Church officiating. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery in Louisville. Family will receive friends Wednesday October 22, 2008 from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
