Ted Cochran, age 71 of Sebring, died at 6:28 a.m. Wednesday Nov. 29, 2006 at home.
He was born Nov. 26, 1935 in Alliance, Ohio to Russell and Ruby (Heston) Cochran and was a lifelong area resident.
A graduate of Alliance High School, Ted was employed by Alliance Midwest Tubular Plant for 42 years in the finishing dept. until retiring in Jan.1998.
He was a member of Union Avenue United Methodist Church. Ted was an avid hunter and bowler and was a loving father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife Barbara J. (Harris) Cochran whom he married May 1, 1954; 3 sons Kerry (Christine) Cochran of Alliance, Scott (Patti) Cochran of Alliance and Shawn Cochran of Canal Fulton; 3 daughters Sherry (James) Hogan of Forty Fort, PA, Robin (Raymond) Wade of Sebring and Heather Cochran of Canton; 15 grandchildren; brother Chester Shankey of Las Vegas, NV; sister Elma Lane of Victorville, CA and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Jeri Buffin
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday December 2, 2006 at Union Avenue United Methodist Church with Rev. Hoyte Wilhelm officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be at Mount Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alliance/VNA Hospice, 885 S. Sawburg Suite 106, Alliance, OH 44601.
