Ted Everett Johnson, age 77 of Alliance, went home to be with his Lord and loving wife at 11:55 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring. He was born December 12, 1936 in Canton, Ohio, the son of Erma Darst.
Ted received his Masters Degree in Education from Kent State University and taught at Canton McKinley for 30 years. A U. S. Air Force veteran from 1958-1962, Ted was honorably discharged as Airman 2nd Class.
Ted was a long-time Alliance resident and very active in the community. He was a member of the Alliance Jay-Cees, Carnation City Players, Elks, and Lions Club. He was also a very active member of First United Presbyterian Church in Alliance, where he served as a Deacon.
Ted was the beloved husband of wife Sally Lou (Grunz) Johnson, for 54 years, before she went home to be with her Lord on August 10, 2012; dearest father of Laura (Donald) Joss; Ted (Shari) Johnson II, and Amy Jo (Brad) Cromer; grandfather of David T. (Jenna) Joss, Melanie (Chad) Russo, Ted Johnson III, Dane Johnson, Courtney Cromer, and Logan Cromer; and great-grandfather of Cooper, Dylan, Greyson, and Ainsley. A private family celebration will be held. "I'm glad you all got to see me and talk to me". In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in Ted's name to the American Cancer Society, 525 N.
