Terry L. "Greenie" Green, age 60, of Alliance, passed away at 7:05 p.m., Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born October 11, 1952, in Canton, Ohio, to Raymond and Nadine (Haidet) Green.
A graduate of Marlington High School, Greenie enjoyed woodworking, playing cards, especially euchre, golfing and shooting pool. Most importantly he loved spending time with his family and friends, was a die-hard Indians and Browns fan, and an avid supporter of Marlington Athletics.
He retired from Nickles Bakery after 30 years of service and was currently working in building maintenance for Marlington Schools.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy L. (Carr) Green, whom he married June 17, 1982; children, Stacy Green, Chad (Erica) Porter, Jamie (Harry) Green, Christopher (Ashley) Porter, Ben (Erin) Green and Marisa Green; grandchildren, Brayden, Brennen, Grayson, Phoenix, Lotus, Aiden, Rilee and Lily; and siblings, Sony (Gene) Sisterhen, Larry (Sandy) Green, Lynn (Dee) Green, Jim (Jeanette) Green, Karen Green, Tom (Stacy) Green, Chris (Scott) Miller, Susie (Nick) Bosh and Dan (Jody) Green; and several nieces and nephews.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Tim Green.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2013, at the Chapel in Marlboro.
In accordance with Terry's wishes, he requested that memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, be made to Marlington Local Schools, c/o Treasurer's Office 10320 Moulin Ave., Alliance, OH, 44601.
