Thelma L. Covington, age 91, of Canton, formerly of Grafton, West Virginia, passed away at 4:50 a.m. Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Oakhill Manor in Louisville.
She was born March 25, 1918 in Grafton West Virginia, Taylor County, to Charles C. and Lenora (Griffith) Smith.
Thelma served as a foster grandparent with the Taylor Co. School System and enjoyed being with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Emory J. (Donna) Covington of Canton; four grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Emory W. Covington, who died January of 1985; two brothers; and three sisters.
