Thelma L. Cunningham

Thelma L. Cunningham, age 82, of Alliance, passed away at 6:11 p.m., Thursday, April 6, 2017, at home with her family by her side.
She was born December 20, 1934, in Beloit. She was a member of New Hope Church of God and employed by Manhatten Dry Cleaners for more than 45 years.
Thelma enjoyed gambling in Atlantic City and Mountaineer Casino, going to yard sales, painting ceramics, camping, bowling and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Linda (Chuck) Richards, Beverly (Michael) Haberland, Brenda Shortridge and Raymond A. Cunningham, all of Alliance; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Arlene Barnett of Morgantown, West Virginia and Doris Nezbeth of Sebring; brother, Thomas (Mary Lou) Campbell of Alliance; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Cunningham, whom she married March 26, 1951 and who died June 14, 2011; daughter, Donna R. Light and her husband, David; brother, David Campbell; and a sister, Judith Donahue.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Don Nicely officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 11, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
