Thelma Rexcene Vaughn, age 66 of Alliance, died at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2006 at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born Aug. 11, 1939 in Glen Easton, West Virginia to Lewis and Martha (Blake) Blake Randolph.
Thelma had worked as a Cook at Horizon Meadows and later at Green Meadows. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, puzzles, and bingo.
Survivors include her husband, Oliver Vaughn, of Alliance; two daughters, Teresa (Leonard) McCown of Canal Fulton, Ohio and Laura Vaughn of Alliance; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty (Fred) Ingledue of Alliance; and one brother, Terry (Cathy) Blake of Alliance.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Gerald Tolley and Timothy Tolley, one brother, Lester Blake, and one sister, Margaret Thomas.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Dean Lewis of Abiding Savior Lutheran Church officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 925 S. Main St. North Canton, Ohio 44720.
Friends and family are invited to return to 1154 Meadowbrook Ave. in Alliance immediately after the services.
