Thelma G. Williamson, age 71 of Alliance died at 5:22 a.m. Monday Jan. 16, 2006 at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born July 25, 1934 in Tyler County, West Virginia to Jacob and Amanda (Cline) Tice and lived in Alliance since 1955.
Mrs. Williamson graduated from Sistersville High School and was employed by the former Health Center as a Nurses Aide, and later worked as a Machine Operator at D.T. Air Filters. She later was employed as a Home Health Care Aide for T.L.C. until 1985.
She attended Bethel United Church of Christ, and was a member of Mile Branch Grange and past Youth Director. She was also a former Girl Scout Leader in the Great Trails Council.
Survivors include her husband, Lawrence Williamson, whom she married Jan. 1, 1955; three daughters, Gaila (Alan) Flowers of Alliance, Pam Baum of Alliance, and Patricia (Robert) Swaggard of Maximo; four grandchildren, B.J., Steve, Elizabeth and Brittany; two great-grandchildren, Taryn and Morgan; one sister, Elgie Whitla of Beloit, many nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Myrtle Leasure, Helen Morris, and Mabel Leasure, and two brothers, George and Millard Tice.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Davis officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, where Grange Services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
