Thelma Jean Wise, age 71, of Alliance, passed away at 3:35 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Canterbury Villa.
She was born January 15, 1939 in Moultrie, Ohio to Alfred and Marjorie (Pryor) Riesen. Thelma attended Sebring McKinley High School. She was a school bus driver for West Branch Local Schools and was formerly employed by Caring Hands.
Thelma was a member of the First Immanuel United Church of Christ and also served as a Pink Lady at Alliance Community Hospital for many years
Survivors include her husband, Robert H. Wise of Alliance; three sisters, Mary (Ray) Sanor of Hanoverton, Patricia (Leonard) Wickline of Elkins, W.Va., and Kathy (Steve) Perkins of Kensington and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers William, James and Jerry Riesen and two sisters Rose Schrader and Barbara Floor.
Services will be held 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Neal Mann officiating. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
